Kaiju No. 8

Over a long time, Godzilla-like beasts named Kaijuu appeared around Japan and harmed the people. To fight these monsters, the government established The Defense Force, an elite military combat. These cops risk their lives all night and protect the civilians. They fight and kill these creatures, and the next day sweepers from the Professional Kaijuu Cleaning Corporation come, and clean and dispose of the remains of these beasts. Kafka Hibino is a 32-year-old who is doing the job at this cleaning company as a sweeper. He is unsatisfied with his job, as Kafka always wanted to be a Kaijuu fighter, not a Kaiju cleaner. He tried multiple times to join the Defense Force, but failed and ultimately joined a cleaning corporation for a living. An 18-year-old Leno Ichikawa is a new recruiter of this company, and he makes Kafka to remind his own time and childhood dream to be a hero. They become good friends with each other. Fate has written something exciting for these people. One day, Kafka and Leno are attacked by a parasite kaiju, and they become injured. In a hospital, Kaijuu again attacks the, but this time Kafka gains immunity against the beasts. After this, Kafka gets a chance to follow his dream of being a hero. He fights and kills the kaiju and decides not to reveal his identity.
